Red Tent Seasons
Poems of the four inner seasons
-
Autumn rushed in with
a force like the wind
Took me by storm
Felled my leaves in a swarm
Clouds swelled with rain
And with them she came...
That truth-seeker, truth-speaker
The Wild One
Show me what’s undone
Where to let go
Make space for new to grow
-
When Winter comes she is quiet
like the snow
She settles and brings peace,
surrender, letting go
She whispers, “Rest now,
The time for doing is past
The veil is thin
but it won’t last”
Turn in and tune in
Reflect and reset
Let her wisdom guide you
To now instead of next.
-
Spring needs a haiku
She is spry, light, and youthful
A seedling of hope
-
“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?”
Brimming with life and “YES!”
Stretching branches bright and fruitful
Queen Mother envelops, protects, and nourishes those below
Rich, bursting with color and ambition
That can overrun and overextend if not Tended
So feed the world but don’t forget to feed YourSelf
