Frequently Asked Questions

  • My vision is to create a practice accessible to clients looking for therapy and wellness services. I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and wellness-based workshops, focused on the goal of embodiment and connection, to self and others.

  • You can request an appointment through my client portal at “book now,” request more information through the contact form, or call me at 301-541-8284. I have immediate openings and can usually schedule you within the week. We can start as soon as initial paperwork is completed, easily through the portal.

  • A form of therapy that incorporates body awareness, nonverbal language, and movement expression along with discussion to process through emotions, trauma, and identity changes. We experience the world through and with our bodies, and through an embodied approach, can release or unlock feelings that are difficult to access with words alone.

  • Each session is unique to you and your needs. For kids, we often move and play throughout the session. I allow the children’s movements to inform me of their needs. For adults, we blend verbal discussion with reflection, breath, relaxation and gentle guided movement.

No performance, no requirement to move—stillness is welcome as much as movement. The process is truly about connecting to and learning to trust your inner knowing.

  • Just like any type of therapy, you may feel some discomfort in the beginning, but I provide guidance and safe structure that is shaped moment to moment by your comfort level. What you experience in a session is valuable information and while my clients often feel lighter after moving, a range of feelings and responses are welcome and normal.

  • Motherhood, childhood, and gender identity are all deeply embodied. My creative, body-based approach helps you find, understand, and connect to your sense of self during these stages.

  • Babies are welcome! They are part of the process! You are welcome to bring your baby until you feel uncomfortable engaging in therapy in their presence.
